participant SAFETY IS RUDIMENTARY TO OUR CULTURE

Participant safety is a key aspect of operating a world class arts organization.

We maintain a secure online whistleblower form submission method. All submissions are submitted securely and confidentially to multiple parties.

We provide more than one way to submit issues pertaining to the organization. Students may fill out the whistleblower form, submit through the email address, or speak to the CEO, COO, CFO, Executive VP, or any board member in person.

317 Performing Arts has curated a list of policies to prevent issues from the start. All of the polices can be found at this link or at 317performingarts.org/policies The policies include a Uniform & Appearance Policy, Attendance Policy, Financial Obligations Policy, Drug & Alcohol Policy, Sexual Harassment Policy, and Hazing Policy.

At 317, we take mental health very seriously. We work with the Indiana chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to educate youth in our programs pertaining to mental health awareness. Every participant of Veritas will attend a “Talk Saves Lives” presentation where students will learn the risks and warning signs of suicide and how we together can prevent it. Our executive staff and some of our technical staff receive Mental Health First Aid training, an 8 hour training which teaches how to help someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.
