Cristian Good : Electronics Consultant

Cristian is a graduate of Goshen College earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. Throughout his time at Goshen College he was active in Symphonic Orchestra, Concert Band, Lavender Jazz, and Percussion Ensemble with additional appearances with the Maple City Chamber Orchestra. He has also assisted in several Brazilian drumming clinics and performances alongside Dr. Christopher Fashun, Asst. Professor of Music at Hope College.
As a music educator, Cristian has worked with a large variety of high school programs throughout northern Indiana. He has taught alongside Derrick Shannon, helping to build the Goshen High School percussion program from Class A finalists to appearing in WGI PSW finals in only three years. Cristian currently teaches percussion part time at Homestead High School in Ft Wayne.
Cristian is a well known expert in the marching arts audio community. He has extensive knowledge of the audio concepts and techniques used in the marching arts activity and has presented several clinics both for the Indiana Percussion Association as well as the Music for All Summer Symposium. Cristian was the zCavalier's audio engineer during the 2014, 2015, and 2016 seasons working closely alongside Michael McIntosh and Tom McGillen. He has also been active in the WGI activity designing and consulting for multiple indoor percussion groups from Indiana. Cristian is currently the sound designer for Homestead High School and Carroll High School in Ft. Wayne as well as writes for many other groups around the country.
Cristian resides in Ft. Wayne, Indiana with his wife and two dogs. He currently works as a sales engineer at Sweetwater Sound while continuing to be involved in the marching activity both in and outside of Sweetwater. Cristian is a Innovative Percussion Educator.

Shelby Shelton : Front Staff

A native of Central Texas, Shelby is an active performer, instructor, arranger, and consultant living in Nashville, TN. She is currently a band director at LaVergne High School and works with the Father Ryan High School band. Shelby has instructed many groups in the central Texas, St Louis, and Nashville areas including: The Madison Scouts, The Sacramento Mandarins, Music City Drum Corps, Blue Springs High School, Clarksville Audio Theatre, and Modulation Z.

Shelby received a Master of Music degree in percussion performance from Middle Tennessee State University, and went on to complete a post baccalaureate degree in music education. She attended Lindenwood University in St.Charles, MO for her undergraduate studies where she double majored in both percussion performance and English Literature.

Shelby began her marching career with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps and went on to play with the Blue Stars and Phantom Regiment. She performed with Gateway indoor for three seasons, aging out as the front ensemble section leader. Shelby is proud to be endorsed by Innovative Percussion Inc.

Emily Owen : Front Staff

Emily Owen is an Indianapolis native who is very excited to join the front ensemble staff at 317 for the 2019 season. After graduating from Perry Meridian High School in 2014, she went on to perform with Legacy Performing Arts (‘15, ‘16, ‘18) and the Sacramento Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps (’14, ‘16). She has taught multiple front ensembles in the greater Indianapolis area, including Zionsville High School, Perry Meridian High School, and Beech Grove High School. Emily attended IUPUI and graduated in December of 2018 with a BS in both neuroscience and psychology. She works at the Indiana University Genetics Biobank and teaches front ensemble at Plainfield High School.

Jesse Mack : Front Staff

Jesse Mack is currently an arranger/front ensemble technician working for the Marching Pride of Lawrence Township and Lawrence Township Winter Percussion in Indianapolis, IN. During his time there, the Lawrence Township percussion program has seen incredible growth and has received recognition as Open Class Champions at the state level and Open Class Finalists at the WGI world championships.   Jesse has several years of world class performance experience with ensembles such as the Madison Scouts, the Colts, the Bluecoats and Rhythm X (2014-2017).  He graduated from Ball State University in 2018 with a degree in Music Education-Instrumental and General. During his time there, he performed with the Ball State Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Band, and Percussion Ensemble.

Jacquelyn Brice : Front Staff

Jacquelyn Brice is a student of the J. Irwin Miller Architecture program through Indiana University in Columbus, Indiana. She earned her bachelor’s from Indiana University with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Music and Biology. She was raised in Lawrenceburg, IN, attending East Central High school, where she was a founding member of their winter percussion ensemble playing mallet percussion, winning 1 PSCA gold medal and 2 PSCO gold medals in IPA, and making PSCA WGI finals in 2007. She also played bass drum in the PSA drumline, who made WGI semifinals in 2009, and oboe in the wind ensemble. This is Jacquelyn’s seventh year as the director of percussion at Edgewood High School in Ellettsville, IN, where in 2012, she founded their winter percussion ensemble.

Jacquelyn marched with Capital Regiment in 2009 on vibe and rack, Rhythm X in 2010 and 2011 on synth and visual ensemble, Cascades in 2011 on marimba, Tates Creek in 2012 and 2013 on vibe and marimba, taught and played for Cincinnati Tradition on bass drum and mallet percussion from 2012-2014, and in 2014 marched her age out with Legacy on marimba. She is currently an oboist in the Columbus Indiana Symphony Orchestra. Jacquelyn has taught with several world and open independent ensembles, first joining Legacy's staff for the 2018 season as a front ensemble instructor.


Amber Fox : Front Staff

Amber Fox holds a Music Business degree from Middle Tennessee State University. She has been involved in a wide range of percussion activities including collegiate percussion ensembles, symphonic bands, Winter Guard International and Drum Corps International. Her extensive performance experience in Drum Corps includes 2006-2007 Memphis Sound, 2010 Spirit of Atlanta, and 2011-2012 Blue Stars. For the past 3 years, she worked at Vic Firth and Zildjian in Boston, MA. Currently, she is the new Programs Manager at the Percussive Arts Society in Indianapolis, IN.
