Event Coordinator

Summary:

The Event Coordinator helps 317 Performing Arts deliver impactful, successful events with maximum operational efficiency. This role involves cultivating strategic partnerships, fostering community engagement, and facilitating the operational success of all 317 Performing Arts events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities with organizations, businesses, and individuals that align with 317 Performing Arts’ values and goals.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective partners, sponsors, donors, and community members.

  • Develop and implement community outreach initiatives, such as educational clinics for students and performances at local events.

  • Manage existing events and support the operation of new 317 events as they emerge.

  • Work with 317 Performing Arts staff, members, alumni, and volunteers to plan and execute external events, ensuring a high-quality experience for all participants.

  • Think strategically about new initiatives that will contribute to 317 Performing Arts’ stability and success.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with partners, doing outreach, or planning events.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Comfortability speaking in front of crowds.

  • Good at making connections and building relationships

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Drive programs (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) is a plus.

  • Creative and strategic thinker.

  • Proactive and can work independently.
