Emily Van Der Weele : Cymbal Staff
Emily Van Der Weele was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She began her marching career with Veritas on cymbals in 2022 and returned in 2023. She also marched cymbals at Jersey Surf in 2022 and concluded her marching career by aging out with the Madison Scouts cymbal line in 2023. She currently teaches cymbals at Carroll High School (2022-present) in Fort Wayne during the indoor percussion season. Currently, Emily attends Purdue University Fort Wayne pursuing a degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in English/Writing.
Kenzie Heasley : Cymbal Staff
Kenzie is a cymbal instructor from Zionsville, IN. She began her marching career at Veritas in 2020 as a part of the visual ensemble and continued in 2022 and 2023 on the cymbal line. Kenzie currently lives in Fishers, Indiana and teaches the Fishers High school cymbal line during the indoor season. Outside of the band world, she graduated from Butler University in 2023 with a degree in marketing and a minor in economics. She currently works as an Associate Financial Representative at Wandrei, Mathew’s & Associates.
Josiah Williams : Cymbal Staff
Josiah Williams was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He started his marching career with Veritas on cymbals in 2022; from there, he started his color guard career with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps. Following the summer of 2022, he came back to Veritas for his 2nd year on cymbals in 2023. After the winter, he went on to do color guard for The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps for his age out summer and his age out winter with Rhythm X. Josiah has been teaching cymbals and color guard for some of the following groups in the surrounding Indianapolis area: Alliance Indoor Percussion (2years), Tri-West High school, Decatur Central High School (2years), Southport High School, Cathedral High School, Noblesville High School (2 years), and is currently the color guard director for Pike High School.
