Luigi Taupo : Cymbal Staff
Luigi Taupo is from Orland Hills, Illinois, and holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Saint Xavier University along with minors in music and psychology. Luigi is currently continuing his education to get a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Governors State University
Luigi’s marching experience includes marching trumpet with Phantom Regiment (2020-2023) and marching cymbals with Veritas (2023) and Music City Mystique (2024).
Luigi has taught at several marching ensembles in a variety of roles ranging from visual, cymbals, and brass. Some highlights include Marian Catholic High School, Victor J. Andrew High School, Pi Percussion, and Music City Drum Corps.
Luigi is excited to come back to Veritas for his 2nd year teaching the ensemble. They look forward to continuing the growing level of excellence within the cymbal line!
Cole Strietelmeier : Cymbal Staff
Cole started his cymbal career at Center Grove high school in 2016 where he marched till he graduated in 2018. He then continued after high school to march Cap City World in 2019 and marched every year until his age out in 2022. Cole also dipped into the drum corps world and marched River City Rhythm in 2021 for his drum corps age out.
He started his teaching career at Edgewood high school as a cymbal technician in the 2019 season, then went to Center Grove high school as a cymbal technician for the 2020 season. He has taught there every year and this will be his 6th season as one of their cymbal techs. He also began teaching at Cap City in 2023 and taught there for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
Cole is currently helping with the Northview Marching Knight’s fall season and working on his Music Ed degree at Indiana State University.
He is very excited to help out at Veritas this season and join the team as a staff member!
Josiah Williams : Cymbal Staff
Josiah Williams was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He started his marching career with Veritas on cymbals in 2022; from there, he started his color guard career with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps. Following the summer of 2022, he came back to Veritas for his 2nd year on cymbals in 2023. After the winter, he went on to do color guard for The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps for his age out summer and his age out winter with Rhythm X. Josiah has been teaching cymbals and color guard for some of the following groups in the surrounding Indianapolis area: Alliance Indoor Percussion (2years), Tri-West High school, Decatur Central High School (2years), Southport High School, Cathedral High School, Noblesville High School (2 years), and is currently the color guard director for Pike High School.
