We strongly recommend that every student signs up for the Audition Prep clinic on Sunday, September 20th! You can also join our facebook audition group to share videos for feedback, ask questions, plan carpooling, etc
-
Yes! We encourage students of all ages to attend our auditions. Whether or not you plan to audition for a spot at Veritas for the season, all are welcome to participate and learn from our staff!
-
We recommend that everyone dress in athletic clothing with closed-toe athletic shoes. Everyone should bring their packet, water bottle, sticks/mallets/drum pads for battery members and auxiliary auditionees, media & medical release forms (sent to your email upon registration), and a positive attitude!
We also recommend that battery members bring kneepads for visual block. If you have your own cymbals or drum, we encourage you to bring it with you! This will increase your amount of playing time during the audition process, since we will be able to have more people on instruments at one time.
-
As per WGI stipulations, performers shall not be over 22 years of age as of 12:01 AM on April 1, 2026. There is not a bottom age limit to audition or attend the clinics, though most performers who end up making the ensemble tend to be age 18+.
-
Occasionally, we will allow performers who live far away to submit a video audition. This is done on a case by case basis. If you are interested in auditioning but cannot make the audition in-person, reach out to veritasauditions@gmail.com to request information on this option.

Member fees for the 2026-2027 season are $2500. For visual ensemble members, fees are $2100. This helps us cover facilities, transportation, uniforms, equipment, stage and set design, and instructional/design staff costs for the season. During the weekends, members will have to make their own arrangements for transportation, food, and occasionally housing (dates communicated in advance). Meals may be provided on show weekends.
-
Veritas rehearses Friday evening to late Sunday afternoon from December until mid-April, including a camp between Christmas and New Years. We begin with Sunday rehearsals in November, with our first full weekend rehearsal camp on November 20-22. The full season schedule can be viewed in our “Schedules” tab (found on the home page of our website). Members will be expected to attend all rehearsals throughout the season, including WGI World championships in April. The week of WGI World Championships will also include rehearsals and events for most of the week leading up to WGI Finals, beginning on Monday evening.
-
Yes! 317 Performing Arts holds a number of fundraisers during the season to help Veritas members offset costs for their member fees and weekend-to-weekend expenses. Information on fundraisers will be supplied to members at auditions.

Yes! We encourage everyone to audition for the ensemble! If you are out of state—or even out of the United States—we encourage you to reach out about auditioning. We have hosted members from Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, Kentucky, Florida, Kansas, California, New York, and even Japan! You would be expected to move within driving distance to Indy during the season to attend rehearsals and performances. Reach out to admin@317performingarts.org for further questions and information on your participation.
