Media/Marketing Intern

Summary: 

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Media/Marketing Intern to join our team at 317 Performing Arts. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in arts marketing and media relations within a vibrant non-profit arts organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns to promote performances, events, and educational programs.

  • Create content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to engage our audience and increase brand awareness.

  • Support the management of 317 Performing Arts’ social media accounts, including scheduling posts and monitoring engagement.

  • Assist in writing and editing content for press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and other marketing materials.

  • Compile and update media contact lists and maintain relationships with our sponsors, donors, alumni, and other supporters of 317 Performing Arts.

  • Capture and edit photos and videos of performances, rehearsals, and behind-the-scenes activities for use in promotional materials.

  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing team as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (preferred, but not necessary).

  • Photography and/or videography experience (preferred).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation (experience with graphic design and video editing software is a plus).

  • Creative thinking and a passion for the performing arts.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
