Media/Marketing Intern
Summary:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Media/Marketing Intern to join our team at 317 Performing Arts. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in arts marketing and media relations within a vibrant non-profit arts organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns to promote performances, events, and educational programs.
Create content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to engage our audience and increase brand awareness.
Support the management of 317 Performing Arts’ social media accounts, including scheduling posts and monitoring engagement.
Assist in writing and editing content for press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and other marketing materials.
Compile and update media contact lists and maintain relationships with our sponsors, donors, alumni, and other supporters of 317 Performing Arts.
Capture and edit photos and videos of performances, rehearsals, and behind-the-scenes activities for use in promotional materials.
Provide general administrative support to the marketing team as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (preferred, but not necessary).
Photography and/or videography experience (preferred).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation (experience with graphic design and video editing software is a plus).
Creative thinking and a passion for the performing arts.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
