justin heasley : Battery Manager

Justin Heasley graduated from Butler University with a degree in music education in the spring of 2022. He has served as the Director of Percussion at Fishers High School since the Fall of 2022, helping the program earn a BOA Grand National Finalist appearance and a WGI PSO Silver medal in his first year with the program. His marching career consists of: Veritas (2019-2022), Madison Scouts (2019), and Blue Knights (2021). Justin is excited to continue teaching and helping students develop into leaders through music.

Justin has served on the Veritas staff as a quad technician and visual staff member since 2023, and is eager to be on board once again with the home team for the 2025 season!


isaac merriweather : Front Ensemble Co-Manager

Isaac Merriweather (Ike) is a percussion instructor born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a performer, Isaac was the timpanist for the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (2017-2019), Legacy Indoor Percussion (2017-2018), and Veritas Indoor Percussion (2019-2020). 

Isaac has worked with the Chapel Hill 7th and 8th Grade Center as a percussion instructor and has worked with multiple high schools as a front ensemble technician including Ben Davis High School (2017-2018), Pike High School (2021), and Hamilton South-Eastern High School (2019-2023). Isaac is a worship service coordinator for Chapel Rock Christian Church (2018-Present), and has been the drummer for multiple worship bands including The Porch Live Indianapolis, and Revision. Isaac is also a brand ambassador for Everybody’s Somebody. 

This will be Isaac’s fourth season as an instructor with the ensemble!


Mike Ellis : Front Ensemble Co-Manager

Mike Ellis is a graduate student at Butler University pursuing his masters in Percussion Performance. An active educator, Mike currently teaches at Fishers High School, North Central High School, New Palestine High School, and lessons in the Carmel/Clay district. Mike is an alumnus of the Madison Scouts, the Cavaliers, Veritas, Legacy Independent, and Rhythm X. 

Outside of the marching arts, Mike has performed in the Butler Symphony Orchestra as both principal and soloist, and won the 2020-2021 Butler University Concerto Competition with Eric Ewazen's Concerto for Marimba and String Orchestra.
