Facility/Logistics Manager

Summary:

317 Performing Arts is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facility/Logistics Manager to oversee the logistical operations and maintenance of our facilities. This role is critical in ensuring smooth and efficient operations for all performances, rehearsals, and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and plan rehearsal facility logistics, such as securing appropriate venues for rehearsals and managing scheduling conflicts.

  • Communicate logistical details clearly and effectively with all Veritas staff and membership.

  • Coordinate transportation logistics, including truck rentals and driver scheduling as needed for rehearsal weekends and performances.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for rehearsal facilities and truck drivers, addressing and handling any concerns when necessary.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with any facilities used by 317 Performing Arts.

  • Maintain a log of possible rehearsal sites and info as specified by the Director of Operations. These must be organized into categories by cost: Free, $, $$, and $$$.

    • There should be a minimum of two reliable rehearsal sites in the Indianapolis area.

    • There should be a minimum of 20 backup indoor venues, ideally at the $$ price point or below.

  • Work with the CFO to ensure prompt payments are made for all services.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google platforms (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms), and scheduling software is a plus.

  • Flexibility to attend rehearsals and shows, particularly Friday evenings/Sunday Afternoons during rehearsal weekends to manage logistical flow to/from rehearsal facilities.
